Refund policy
Fresh food, so no returns
Our donuts are perishable. We cannot take them back once they leave the shop, and we will not resell food that has been out of our care. There is no return address to mail donuts to.
What we can do is make it right when something goes wrong on the way to you.
If your box arrives damaged, spoiled, or very late
Email us at hello@chanisdonuts.com within 48 hours of delivery and send us three things:
- Your order number
- A photo of the outside of the box
- A photo of the donuts
The photos matter. They tell us whether the trouble started in our packing room or on the truck, and USPS asks for them when we file a claim.
Once we have seen them, we will send you a replacement box or refund your order, your choice.
Very late means seven days or more in transit, well past the three days Priority Mail usually takes.
What we cannot cover
- A wrong or incomplete address at checkout. USPS charges to reroute a package, and sometimes sends it back to us. Our shipping policy explains what happens then.
- A box that sat outside after it was delivered. Once USPS marks a package delivered, it is no longer in our care.
- Donuts eaten after the freeze-by date printed on the bag.
- A flavor you did not care for. We want to hear about it and we read every word, but taste is not a defect.
Changing or canceling an order
We pack the day we ship, so there is usually room to fix an order if you catch us early. Email us or call (858) 384-6201 before your order ships. Once you have a tracking number the box is on its way, and we cannot pull it back.
Allergens
Everything we sell is made in our own dedicated facility, free from the top 10 allergens and gluten. We do not bring those allergens into that room.
If you or someone at your table has a severe allergy, please read the ingredients on the product page before you order. We ask every supplier for a written statement on the ingredients they send us. We do not own or run their facilities, and we cannot make promises about how they handle their own production. Call us at (858) 384-6201 with a question about any ingredient. We would rather take the call than have you guess.
